Evans McDowall Architects Director Andy McDowall was recently an invited guest critic for the University of Nottingham Department for Architecture and Built Environment, Unit 3a – project 2 final reviews. Unit 3a’s subject this year is Slow Town; one of the preoccupying themes being how we can make parts of cities support local and individual needs, with proposals which are community generated, location specific, and promote practical, enjoyable ways of living. The Unit’s work is located within Lincoln, looking at Urban edge areas to focus on the units other key theme which is boundaries and thresholds.

The unit is tutored by Rosamund Diamond, Elena Balzarini and Bob Braun. Thank you to Ros and the rest of the unit for the invitation to attend and be a part of the reviews.
